Barra was a company that owned a series of luxury stores and boutiques selling Italian fashion clothes in San Francisco.

The most important of its stores, the one inside the prestigious Sheraton Hotel, was inaugurated in 1961. For the occasion, the local ICE offices helped organize a fashion show featuring clothes from Gino Paoli's fashion house, while also guaranteeing wide press coverage by the region's most popular women's magazines.

Other important stores were located in the city center and inside the Jack Tar Hotel.
