Carmel Snow

Considered the forefather of modern fashion journalism, Carmel Snow was first an assistant editor at Vogue US before being appointed fashion editor.

Following her success, she became editor-in-chief of the American edition of Harper's Bazaar, with the aim of creating a magazine for "well-dressed women with well-dressed minds".

Witness of the Parisian fashion shows, she develops a particular interest in the nascent Italian fashion that begins to appear in international territories in the early '50s and it is thanks to her reports that will contribute to the spread of designers such as Simonetta Visconti, Emilio Pucci, the Fontana Sisters.
